There's a new auto-alerts feature in Aperio CI's Visual Bill Manager product.

Visual Bill Manager now gives users the ability to set alerts when they are nearing a certain point in their bundle. They can decide the threshold at which they want to receive an alert. For example, they may elect to receive one when they are at 80 percent of allotted text messages or 90 percent of allotted minutes for the month, or a certain percentage of data usage, and so on. They can also get an alert when they’ve gone over.

Just last week, the wireless industry and the FCC came to terms on steps to help customers avoid unexpected overage charges. The providers agreed to implement usage-alert features in the future.

"Aperio already has this capability built and ready to use off the shelf for operators," said Duffy Mich, CEO of Aperio CI. "There is no need for operators to have to build this capability. We already have it."

Visual Bill Manager is a Web-based marketing and bill management tool for the business customers of communications companies. The tool can be used to monitor communications usage for multiple service types in one single online platform. Aperio says extensive labeling and tagging capabilities enable users to clearly separate business from personal calls.
